As a school we launched a new project together with the Jacobus Fruytier SG. Four students are working on the ACE curriculum as well as their normal school work. Two of them came to visit us for three weeks, together with an older student. We had a good time together!
This coming year we hope to be able to extend the project and invite more students to take part. This is a great opportunity for students to improve their English, as well as learn more about the English culture. There is quite a good choice of subjects to choose from, depending on the interests of the student and his/her abilities.
Programme:
Two of the subjects are compulsory, Bible study and Word Building, which allows students to choose another 3 or 4 subjects, depending on their level. Students work on these subject for an average of 3 hours a week at school. Most courses take 2 years to complete, although some are only half courses, and will be able to be completed within a year. Part of the course is the stay in England. Students can choose between a three week stay or a 4 month stay. Whilst in England they will stay with Ds and Mrs Mortimer in Eastcombe. Students will attend the school, visit other schools and have several outings during their stay. There will be a supervisor assigned to them at the Jacobus Fruytier to assess their progress and to liase with Good Hope School supervisors.
Fees: Depending on the length of their stay, the annual fee per student is:
€795, inc. 3 week stay in England and workbooks (PACEs). Or €5000, inc. 4 month stay in England and workbooks. This includes €1800 fee for the Distance Learning Programme arranged by the Jacobus Fruytier SG.
